Goals for 2010 - February 16th - 28th

February 16th - 28th

16th

Workout #1 for the week.
Read Leviticus 15 - 20
Drank 6 8-oz cups of water

...ummm, I'm not sure what happened to the rest of this month.
It must have slipped by when I wasn't looking.

All I know is I'm ahead of pace for reading my Bible in a year, I can't remember the last time I exercised, but I'm also not drinking any Coke during the weekdays so that replaces the exercise, right?!

I'll try harder in March.
Maybe.

Goals for 2010: February 1st - 15th

February

So far this month has been terrible. I've only worked out 4 times a week, cleaning is sporadic, but I'm still on pace to have my Bible read in a year. And I've done zero crafts.

For the next two weeks, I'm going to try to drink more water. I'm aiming for 6 glasses a day (I know it's supposed to be more).

1st
Workout #1 for the week.
Read Exodus 7 - 12

2nd
Cleaning: mopped kitchen floor and cleaned the bathrooms, both of which were on yesterday's to-do list.
Workout #2 for the week.
Read Exodus 13 - 18

3rd
Read Exodus 19 - 24

4th
Workout #3 for the week.

5th
Read Exodus 25 - 28
Workout #4 for the week.

6th
Missed workout #5 today - and completely re-evaluated my lack of progress.

7th
Read Exodus 29 - 33

***new week***

8th
Workout #1 for the week - 20 minutes of Biggest Loser high intensity cardio, 5 minute break, 20 minutes strength and sculpt.
Read Exodus 34 - 40. Hooray, I'm done with Exodus - gotta admit, the last half really drug on.

9th
Workout #2 for the week - 20 minutes of Biggest Loser 'boot camp' (mix of cardio and weights)
Read Leviticus 1 - 5

10th
Read Leviticus 6 - 10

11th
Workout #3 for the week - 20 minutes of Biggest Loser strength and sculpt, 10 minute break, 30 minutes of high impact cardio with My Fitness Coach on the Wii.

12th
Workout #4 for the week - 20 minutes of Biggest Loser 'boot camp' (mix of cardio and weights)

13th
I did absolutely nothing. Once again, skipped workout #5 - I've been really tired and this week in particular, I was really sore after doing those extra workouts!

14th
Read Leviticus 11 - 14

***new week***

15th
I was incredibly tired - I've been all sorts of outta-whack lately, and a sleepless child doesn't help that! So, instead of doing workout #1, I laid down and almost got a nap.

Goals for 2010: January 16th - 31st

January 16th - 31st

Goals completed:

Exercise: I've worked out 5 days per week for the first 4 weeks. And 4 days this past week.
I have no clue how much I weigh, though. My scale's batteries are dead, so it only says "low" when I step on it.
I don't mind. ;)

Reading the Bible in a year: So far so good!
I've read all the way through Job and Genesis and am into Exodus.

Use 150+ Packets of Yeast: This month I've used about 10 packets. I need to step it up a bit if I'm going to get them all used by July.

Things that are...umm...far from started:

Sticking to a Cleaning Schedule: Ummm, no. This hasn't happened at all. I've been cleaning sporadically, but not on a regular basis.
I finally bought a mop on the 27th.
It's a step.

Keeping track of spending: This has been an on/off thing. Oye.

16th
Workout #5 for the week!

17th
Read Genesis 16 - 18

***new week***

18th
Workout #1 for the week!
Read Genesis 19 - 21
Down to 144+ packets of yeast - made bread

19th
Read Genesis 22 - 24
Workout #2 for the week

20th
Read Genesis 25 - 26

21st
Read Genesis 27 - 29
Workout #3 for the week

22nd
Read Genesis 30 - 31
Workout #4 for the week

23rd
Read Genesis 32 - 34
Workout #5 for the week! Yay - another week down!

24th
Read Genesis 35 - 37

***new week***

25th
Workout #1 for the week
Read Genesis 38 - 45. This is actually 3 days worth of reading. I was to the part about Joseph and his life in Egypt and it was just way too good to stop reading! :)

26th
Workout #2 for the week

27th
Cleaning: All I did all day long was clean.
Read Genesis 46 - 50. Finished Genesis, now on to Exodus!

28th
Workout #3 for the week
Read Exodus 1 - 4

29th
Workout #4 for the week
Cleaning: steam cleaned all the bad spots in the house and did 2 loads of laundry

30th - 31st
We were gone these days, so nothing got done.
...although I did cheer pretty exuberantly at the game, does that count as a workout?

Goals for 2010: January 1st - 15th

I think the best way to keep myself accountable on my goals is with a bi-monthly post.

Goals for 2010

First let me say that, No, this is not a resolution list.
It may look like one, but it's not. I don't do well with resolutions.
Think of it more as a To Do List!
I need goals that have a definite finish line. Those indefinite "exercise more" kinds of goals just don't work for me...mainly because 5 minutes of exercise is more than what I do now. ;)

As I've said before, my blog is my own personal journal of sorts and I share a lot of things here. If you were around last summer, you know about the Get Fit posts. I told the world handful of people who read my blog what I ate, how much I exercised and, more embarrassingly, how much I weighed. I'm planning on doing something similar, but simpler with this 2010 list.

You'll see periodical updates on my progress...I know it's hard to contain the excitement.

My 2010 List
(in no particular order)

1. Fit into my skinny jeans. I don't care too much about the number on the scale, just that I don't need the jaws of life to get into these jeans.

2. Exercise 5 days a week for 30 minutes a day. You don't think I'll magically shrink into those jeans, do you? Yeah, me either. I figure if I stuck to this kind of a routine after Breck was born and thereby lost an additional 10 pounds of my pre-baby weight, surely I can do it again! (I'm currently at my pre-Breck weight.)

3. Make and keep a strict cleaning schedule. Sounds simple enough, but I'm lazy and hate cleaning.

4. Keep track of our spending for 3 months. We got a little off course after we moved, but I'm determined to get us back on track. :)

5. Limit myself to one freak-out per month. An occasional freak-out is bound to happen, but mine are a regular occurrence as of late. B vitamins will be helping with this one...hopefully.

6. Make at least 2 crafts from "The Project" Project each month.

7. Use all 150 packets of rapid rise yeast. I got about 200 packets for free last spring after coupons, sales and OYNO catalinas. All of the yeast expires at the end of July. Wish me luck!

8. Read through the entire Bible. The whole thing in one year. I got a new and fantastic one - the NLV version - from my Mom and Stepdad for Christmas!

And good luck to you on any not-a-resolution-but-it-really-is-even-though-you-don't-call-it-one goals you may make for the new year!
