Sundays In My City: Overland Park Arboretum

This week we took a trip to the Overland Park Arboretum! I've been wanting to go for a while now, but the cold and rain have been keeping us home.

Not this week! I was determined to go, rain or shine!

And it was pretty neat - I'm excited for Spring and Summer to arrive, because I know this place is going to be busting at the seams with beauty!

And best of all, it's free!

Bridges

Flowers
There were only these flowers in bloom. That's it. But, there were tons and tons of daffodils, tulips and crocus that will be blooming in the next week or two! So, I think we just might make this a weekly trip.

Wildlife
The deer was no more than 30 feet from us. It's a very tame wild deer! We were talking and she saw us, but went about her afternoon snack without hesitation.

Statues

Water
You can not walk more than 10 feet without seeing water in one way or another!

Miscellaneous
These are just some of the other features and gardens I liked. Just imagine how pretty they'll be when everything is green and blooming!

  3. That looks like a really nice place. I love the water everywhere! I bet it is real pretty in the winter when it is frozen still.

So did you meet Kimber or no??? I know she's been that way now.
