How many of you buy paint for your children?
...hmm, not as many as I thought.
But if you do, have you thought of checking out the "oops" paint (mixed paint that was the wrong color or possibly customer-abandoned) at Home Depot?
They sell quarts for $1 each and gallons for $5 each.
Not too shabby considering a 2.5 oz tube of acrylic paint will run you $2.50 at a craft store!

- Paint outside and wear clothes that you don't care about.
- Divide the large quantity of paint into small tubes or other containers, so if there is a spill it's minimal.

This is a great tip. I actually saved all leftover paint from painting here and put them in containers just for this purpose. Thanks for letting us know about purchasing the mess ups and such!
