Today was a pretty good day as far as getting things done.
I didn't get a ton finished, but I got the ball rolling on some things and made headway on others.
This morning the kids and I went to Hobby Lobby for fabric to cover the seat for the chair that matches the kids computer desk. We ended up with a few more items than just that, though, since there were some pretty good deals in the clearance aisle:
- purple and gray fleece for a baby blanket
- Sesame Street flannel to make crinkly toys
(we have several friends/family who are expecting...not us!)
- pompoms (they were 50% off) - we'll use them for color sorting and motor skills (we'll get out some tongs for that)
or they also make great shirt stuffing!
- flannel and felt to make a flannel board
(I already had the board and duct tape)
***
we also stopped at Home Depot for a gift card and grabbed a few paint sample cards to use for color recognition, games and crafts. There were ones with textures, too!

This evening I finished a few things such as:
- Printed and "laminated" (I used tape) a sequencing game for Breck
- "Laminated" silly monster cards from Breck's Highlight's magazine
- Altered a K-State onesie to a shirt...or dress depending on who's wearing it!
- Crocheted 3 granny squares!
WOW!! You were on the ball! Great job getting so much acomplished. I love days like that.
ReplyDeleteGoodness you were busy!! I've never thought of paint color swatches as a learning tool. I'm going to have to pick me up some extras this week while I'm color shopping.
