After our open house today, we noticed a baby bird on our patio.
We figured out which tree it came from, but the nest was way too high to put it back, so I took an abandoned nest (from some birds we had this spring), put it in an empty hanging plant basket and set it on the table so animals couldn't get to it too easily.
I put on some gloves and put the bird in the make shift nest. It seemed a lot calmer once in there and the mama bird came to feed it! (she had been feeding it while on the ground)

After we got back from our walk, the baby bird was gone. I couldn't find it anywhere, but there was no sign of attack, so I assume it's ok.

How sweet! I would think the baby is just fine since the momma was feeding it.
