*~* I Love Cookies! *~*

Today we made Sour Cream Cookies!
(as part of my sour cream challenge)

Breck really likes to use the cookie cutters

...and our final product:

(I tried to cut powercats freehand - I think they'd look much better frosted!)

Here's the recipe we used:

Sour Cream Cookies

Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add in the remaining ingredients. Chill dough. Roll out and cut. Place on non-stick cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 7 minutes. (don't brown these!) Makes approximately 2 dozen.

  1. Hmmm, it looks like Breck is wearing the same shirt today baking cookies that he was wearing yesterday counting buttons. Must have caught him at the beginning of a new wash cycle???

  3. Thanks for posting the recipe: I have some sour cream to use up too. I found a great sour cream meatloaf recipe at allrecipes.com and made it last night. Big thumbs up!
