This year's hot air balloon festival was canceled due to terrible weather, but a few brave souls inflated their balloons for about 10 minutes to give the general public a show...
We have a hot air balloon festival in our town too -- they schedule FIVE launches over the weekend and without fail they have to cancel almost all of them every year due to the weather. Last year I think there was one launch, and the year before none at all. Sometimes they will still inflate them at night for the "glow" after the sun goes down!
How sad!!! BUT...I see you!!!! You made it in a picture and you look great! So happy aren't you?!?!! I so wish I were going to be meeting you. Still shedding tears over that one.
Oh my goodness... a day at a Hot Air Balloon festival is on my dream list!! ;) one day!! So neat that you at least got the almost!! Beautiful almost shots!! It is so sad it got canceled!! sorry!
