Last week Breck started Pre-Kindergarten.
(Can you believe we are frequently asked if these two are twins?! Oh - and he's holding his elbow because he had just scraped it up..he was in a big hurry to get to school and totally bit it on the sidewalk.)
He's the big man on campus now and there is no doubt that he is loving it!
His class has a thing called the 'calendar page'. The student who best follows the rules for the day wins it.
It's a pretty big deal.
Breck didn't win it either day last week, but I was told that he did exceptionally well...so it's not that he didn't deserve it.
Each day on our way home Breck would tell me of one child who was naughty in some way, shape, or form.
The first day there was a kid who shoved Breck because he was in his spot. And then punched Breck in the face.
- Yeah, right. -
The next day there was a kid who tried to kill a toad that Breck found on the playground.
- A little more believable -
It just so happens that each day's 'naughty' kid was the one who won the calendar page.
Coincidence?
I think not.

ReplyDeleteWhat a memorable moment...first day of Pre-K!!! I'm sure Breck will be doing just fine this year. After all, you taught him so much at home to get him prepared. :) What a cutie and he looks so big with his booksack. I guess if all the naughty kids are winning the calendar then you probably shouldn't want him to come home with it. HA!!!!
