When I saw the first one I instantly thought wow, and then I scrolled down and also really liked the second. But I really like the composition of the first because the tree and sun are the main focus and you don't see the power line poles. Both are beautiful shots though.
Both shots are great! I tend to lead towards the 2nd shot! Man that sunshine just brings out the natural beauty of that huge tree. fantastic challenges shots!!
To me, the top one is too chopped in half (too much sky up top) whereas the 2nd has good rule of 3rds, like Tracy said. And I think the poles/power lines add some interest/contrast, but that's just me.
I like the first one, with all that sky.
ReplyDeleteI do like horizontal orientation over vertical, always. But that's just me! They are both good shots.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I typically like horizontal over vertical as well...that first shot is framed perfectly. Love it.

ReplyDelete#1, the vertical shot emphasizes the tree but they are BOTH stunning.

ReplyDeleteI would like the second better, if the power lines were not there. As is, the first.
ReplyDeleteI think I prefer the top one :) ...probably because of the power lines in the bottom...but they are both lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteboth are great, but i think i like the first one better. beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like the first one! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove this shot. I think I like the 1st one better. Fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteVertical. I have no use for the power lines..lol! GReat shot either way!
ReplyDeleteI love the first shot!! Love the sky with the sun.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the first shot!
ReplyDeleteI like the framing of the first shot, great pictures!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the second...use of Ro3!
ReplyDeleteIf you edited out the poles, I'd like the second one best!
ReplyDeleteI like the 2nd one, even with the poles.

they are both beautiful. i vote for the second - you get to see more of the beauty!
ReplyDeleteAlthough they are both GORGEOUS, I rather favor the top photo... Basically due to the poles, but they do add personality too! Decisions, decisons...
ReplyDeleteI like the first one the best
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteThe first one (vertical). A perfect triangle fits the coordinate plane. According to our photography teacher, that's the best picture.
ReplyDeleteI love the first one... hands down
ReplyDeleteI'd scrap the bottom horizontal because of the lovely white/empty space for journaling :)
