Pancakes a la Violet Beauregarde

The other day I made blueberry pancakes.

But, I wanted my blueberries a bit sweeter before I added them to the batter. So I tossed them with some sugar and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes.

The resulting blueberries were perfectly sweet and syrup-y!

In they went, juice and all...
and whala!

Pancakes a la Violet Beauregarde* were born.

...and yes, they were delicious!

*For those who don't know, Violet Beauregarde is the girl from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory who turns into a blueberry.

  1. Neat! I've never let my blueberries melt into my pancakes. I'll have to try this!
