365-221: Zinnias

These are zinnias, right?

I was happily surprised by the leaf shaped flare!

Which one do you like best?

  1. Katie, I like the first one best. I like the flare in the rest, but it distracts me from the flower. Too bright, I think.

Not that I have any qualification to tell you anything about photography, LOL!, but that's my opinion. Gorgeous, though!

  2. I really suck when it comes to identifying flowers but these shots are absolutely gorgeous!

  3. yes, zinnias! they are so easy to grow you know, when their flowers are spent, just take the dried flower off the stem with you hand and crumble them over the soil you want them in. They will germinate and grow where you lay them! They are very hardy too they survive our Texas 100+ summers beautifully!

I personally like the first on the best, great contrast and angle.

  7. I like them all but the last one with the flower on the left is the one I'd print and scrap - with the first as an additional accent.

  9. Oh but how they are all so pretty!!!! I think I would have to say I like the first one best but your bokeh rocks in the others.

Neat tip about germinating from Giovanna. I have some zinnias and I think I will try that out.
