...but it's true.
Seth has some incredibly wonderful and generous friends. One in particular, who works in some capacity for the country music industry, was able to get us tickets to the George Strait and Reba concert that was in KC on Friday...for free!
We met our friends Luke & Lindsay there too, which was a nice treat!
And she got our name on the list for gated parking...also free!
We were so close to the Sprint Center, we could have spit on it from our car.
See?!
But that would have been gross, so we didn't.
Then we picked up our tickets at Will Call.
We had totally planned and figured on being in the upper most deck and that was fine by us - after all, we were getting free tickets, we were just happy to be in that situation!
But oh no...Bridget is a rockstar.
Rock. Star.
And she's sweet as sugar to boot!
Look where our seats are...
Did you see that?!
FLOOR.
ROW 1.
SEATS 1 & 2.
AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Oh, and those blue stickers - I'm not 100% sure what they were for. One person said they're for the George Strait meet & greet, but someone else said there wasn't one.
Nevertheless, we looked cool with them on. ;)
Lee Ann Womack opened, but we missed that.
But at this point, we didn't care!!
I'd like to mention now that I got on the Sprint Center website to find their policy on cameras at concerts. And what I read was that they generally do not allow them. So, I didn't bother bringing my wonderful camera that would have taken such wonderful photos of such wonderful performers.
There were people with DSLRs all over the place.
AAAHHHHH!!!!
Let this be a lesson to all of you reading right now - CALL THE VENUE JUST IN CASE THEY WILL ALLOW YOU TO BRING YOUR AWESOME CAMERA!
So, Seth's really bad blackberry pics will have to suffice.
Reba was great...as if I needed to say it!
It's Reba!
Oh, the woman sitting there on the left is Melissa Peterman (aka: Barbra Jean), from Reba the tv show!
They put on a little skit that was pretty funny.
Lee Ann Womack also came out to sing with Reba for the duet Does He Love You.
Then Reba went off stage, but when she came back, she was wearing a red dress
...and, can you guess what she sang?!
Come on Reba fans...do you know?!
Fancy!
And then it was time for the Reba meet & greet, but because we didn't have the appropriate Reba stickers, we weren't allowed backstage for it.
So, Lindsay found Bridget who got us backstage.
Not only backstage, but she made people back up in the Reba line so we could be at the front of the line!
So Seth and I had our picture taken with her!
Sweet.
After hanging out backstage for a while, we decided we should probably get back to our seats to see George Strait perform.
Oh, but not before we were given an ALL ACCESS pass to use!
By the time we made it back to our seats, George was already on stage.
But, he made his way around to our section (it was an in-the-round kind of concert set up).
And he made eye contact with us...
...multiple times.
See, he's smiling for our camera!
~~~
Bridget - if by some chance you read this:
thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you
for your generosity and thoughtfulness!
