The 365 Project - 2010

I am participating in the 2010 Mommytography 365 Project! For this year long project I will be posting an image a day, to get me out shooting, using my camera and learning new things with it daily. Anyone interested in photography can join, no need to be a Mommytographer. We have teens to adults, male and female, as well as people from all over the world. Come join the fun!

As you are well aware, I participated in the 2009 365 Project and loved it! I used a Sony Cyber Shot, which is a simple point and shoot camera, and was amazed at what I was able to do with it! I never would have known the capabilities of my camera (or myself!) had I not participated.

But the best thing about The 365 Project had nothing to do with photography - it had to do with friendship. I've met some amazing women through this project and although we've not met in person (I'm hoping one day we will!) I consider them much more than mere blogger-acquaintances - I can honestly say they are friends!

For 2010, I've upgraded my camera!

My Christmas/Anniversary/Valentine's/Birthday present is a Nikon D3000 DSLR camera with a real lens!!! (ya know, the kind you can take off the camera!) I'm so excited for this new year and certainly urge you to think about joining up! You won't be disappointed if you do!

  1. This sounds like fun! I think I'll go check it out... I'm hoping that Santa will be bringing me a new camera for Christmas lol.

  2. A new camera?!??!?!? How AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see how you do with it. Congrats!!!!!!

My camera I got last year (D40) was the same as you...birthday/anniversary/mother's day present. I LOVE it!!!!

  3. Katie! I'm so excited that you are getting a new camera... you are going to love it! And I won't be jealous of the version your getting... why did you choose it?

  4. FABULOUS!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!

  5. I was so excited for you about the camera, I forgot to say...I am so happy you will be doing the project with us again. You bring a lot it and it has been great getting to know you too!

  6. How exciting! I have a Sony Cyber Shot that I've gotten some pretty incredible pictures from. I also was able to move up to a D-SLR last November (2008), but I still use the Sony.

I'm excited to join the Project this year. I gave it a go on my own last year but didn't last very long.

Thanks for taking time to leave a comment!
