A Little Update

It dawned on me recently that I haven't update you on us: ya know, what the kids are doing, how their little personalities are changing, and what Seth and I have been up to.

Breck sings a lot! Sometimes I catch him singing made-up songs to himself while he plays. :)

And he can now sing his entire ABCs in order!

as well as Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star!

And just look at the awesome turkey he made at preschool:

Preschool is going great! He loves it most days and we can tell he's learning a lot!
Tot School has been less than fantastic - when your child screams "I don't want to do tot school!" is kinda kills the motivation, and thus the lack of it for nearly the entire month!

Rowan is becoming more and more independent. She wants to do everything by herself and will climb just about anything she can - chairs, ladders, paint cans, etc. And every time I get a diaper out to change her, she runs and hides...under beds, up against walls...she's quite good at hide and seek! :) Recently, she has been showing a strong interest in letters! She's also learning her body parts - she has eye, teeth, hair, nose and cheek down pretty good!

Seth works. And works. And works. He's been able to make it to many of the K-State football games, but no basketball, which is kind of a bummer. Just this past weekend, we went to our good friends' wedding where Seth was an usher! He looked so good!
(the pic I took of just him didn't turn out very good)

I've been unorganized, overwhelmed and sick with a lingering head cold for the past 3 weeks. (this is my excuse in case you've been wondering why the blog is suffering lately!) I've managed to do some decorating for Christmas and I think we're getting very close to being done with our Christmas shopping! Whoot! Right now I'm working on crocheting some preemie blankets to send to our friend's NICU. I'm hoping to have 3 done by Christmas! (I'll be sharing pics as I get them done)

Now through the end of the year, we'll be pretty busy - this week we'll be having 2 Thanksgivings and 1 Christmas, then we get a break until just before Christmas when we'll be hosting 2 of them! I'm really looking forward to it, since we finally live in a house where we have enough room to entertain and actually have adequate space for people to stay overnight!

I hope you have a fun and safe Thanksgiving!

  1. Cute videos!! So was that Daddy hiding under the blankets that Rowan was playing with?!?! LOL!! Breck did great on his songs.

As for tot school, let it rest. He gets plenty at preschool. Rowan is still young so go with their flow. Just my humble opinion. Hope you don't mind. :)

You sound like you will be busy till the new year. Have a great Thanksgiving!!!!

Thanks for taking time to leave a comment!
