...Back to Life

My short reprieve from the kids was amazing! I watched my movie twice, stayed up late, crocheted several granny squares, slept in late (8:45am, baby!) and had nothing but peace and quiet for a solid 22 hours!

First thing this morning, I mowed the biggest part of the yard, came in for breakfast and then finished the mowing the rest. I got cleaned up and did a few "house selling" chores. Tidied up the house, ate some lunch, emailed, etc.

Lorrie brought the kids home around 2pm today. And it only took about 10 minutes before both were crying and acting up. Finally, they both settled down and played somewhat nicely. Breck bit Rowan and now she has a lovely set of teeth marks in her arm. (I'd take a picture but...you know.)

This evening we had our first showing as not fsbo. So, I took the kids to return my movie and get some McDonald's! Just as I was getting out of the car, I noticed Breck was zonked. Back into the car I got and headed to the drive thru. At this point, we had an hour to kill, so I drove over to Target and Rowan and I sat in the car in the shade and ate our dinner in the front seats. It was pretty fun - just like a little tea party!

We got home, I took Breck to his bed and Rowan quickly followed suit and headed to dreamland.

Tomorrow we have another showing in the afternoon and I got a call on the home phone from someone who had picked up our fsbo flyer. Sadly, I had to refer them to the realtor's office if they wanted to schedule a showing.

I have a good feeling that it won't take too long for our house to sell. I expect we'll have a lot of showings, since we were doing ok on our own - especially knowing that many realtors will not show a fsbo house. ("it's extra work for them" so says our realtor....should have replied with "is that why you never showed our house?!")

Anyway, on a nicer note - ;) - we take possession of our new house in 8 days!!! Hooray!
