I saw the doll quilt sew-along on Sew, Mama, Sew! and decided to join in - sorta. I'm not making the exact same quilt. I started a quilt a long time ago - right after Breck was born...and that was nearly 3 years ago! I figured since I already had most of my pieces cut, I may as well finish it. And the sew-along is broken into several posts over two weeks, which makes it very novice-friendly!
Here are my blocks sewn into rows:
and my rows sewn together:
and finally, my edge pieces sewn on:
....unfortunately, it looks a lot better in photos than in real-life. Seth joked that the camera must add 10 centimeters, so that's why my blocks look even on here!
Right now I'm working on appliquéing all the little garden critters - there are 10 total. I started using a blanket stitch, but it's looking pretty miserable, so I may pull it out and try something else.
Any suggestions are welcome!
