Last weekend Seth's super awesome parents drove down for a visit and on Saturday we all took a day trip to Galveston and the beach.
All that brown stuff was seaweed, but not the contaminated-dead-fish-slimy-stinky kind I'm used to from the man-made lake back home.
Noooo....this stuff was spongy and kinda clean and not stinky.
Thank goodness, 'cause if we wanted to get in the water we had to cross it!
...and then we spotted this little guy stuck in one patch near us. After that we made sure the kids were with one of us adults before walking through.
...we {and by "we" I mean Seth and the kids} played in the water...
...and Rowan, Grandpa and Grandma made sand castles...
...I took a break from Mommyville and shot a bunch of beach photos...
It was a great day!
What is that thing in the seaweed????

ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pics of a great family time!! I can't get over the crowds and the seaweed. Crazy! I'm not too sure I would have walked through it.
